Track Name: Balad
1. Reckless behaviour (instrumental)

2. Waking up in the midst of chaos

Alistair

Going under, there’s no time to be afraid
Ever wondered how we came to be this way?

Going under, only tunnels light the way
No more laughter, only devastation there.

All around us, the distress we caused to Earth
We sought power, all we found was our disgrace.

Calling all the stations left
Calling all stations.

Going under, there’s a city worth our pain
Fresh air, water; we must move and make our way.

3. Let’s follow Richie!

Dave

Everyday tunnels threat to pose a new danger
We escape, we prevail, survival essential.
Our Earth was at stake, we paid no attention
Underground now we dwell, relying on strangers.

And you know that in a single day,
Although Richie helps, all the monsters just come along.

And you know that even though he cares,
As he leads the way all the monsters just come along.

And you see that in the face of death
even when we’re safe, all the monsters just come along.

And you feel that even when you cave
When you lose all faith, all the monsters just come along, come along, come along.

All the air reeks of flesh and lights are prudential.
Blood runs red and they smell our fear when we face ‘em.

And you know that in a single day,
Although Richie helps, all the monsters just come along.

And you know that even though he cares,
As he leads the way all the monsters just come along, come along, come along, come along.

And you know that in a single day,
Although Richie helps, all the monsters just come along.

And you know that even though he cares,
when we lose our way all the monsters just come along, come along...

...in the face of death
Even when we’re safe, all the monsters just come along.

And you feel that even when you cave
When you lose all faith, all the monsters just come along, come along, come along.

4. Unexpected escape (instrumental)

5. Plight

Alistair

There is nothing left to do
There’s something in the air.
And there’s nothing I can see,
The wraiths’ll still be there.

No one can see the surface
No one is sane.
And now I’m waiting for the rain.

There is nothing left to do
The wraiths control the air.
We could try but it will be
Impossible to stay.

I see the lights approaching
I see the gate
In Bálad we’ll be free again.

There is nothing left to do
There’s something in the air.
And we’re longing to be safe
The atmosphere is dead.

We’re there!

6. Rush to the gates

Brad

This time a little for me
This time we stand or fall.

This time we see the morning
Next time I’ll save your soul

Thousands of people strolling
They feel so safe and warm;
Food is abundant, plenty
But they don’t know what’s wrong.

You know it’s time to (maybe try to)
Fight and to stay alive,
Every single fight is a war.

If you’re protecting (maybe you should)
Come and give us a hand,
Surely we can use you some more.

All city guards are yelling
“No one must stay at home”
Women and children praying
They know here comes the foe.

You know it’s time to (maybe try to)
Fight and to stay alive,
Every single fight is a war.

If you’re protecting (maybe you should)
Come and give us a hand,
Surely we can use you some more.

You know it's time (maybe try to)
Rush to the gates at once
Never have we seen such a foe.

The sun is shining (now it's time to)
End with a battle cry
Our enemy is no more.

7. Elusive Victory (instrumental)

8. Some thinking

Brad

All this time we just didn't realise
Something's wrong, and nothing's right

There is nothing left to do // There is nothing left to do
Ahh... // There's something in the air
And there's nothing I can see // And there's nothing I can see
Ahh... // Our time will nearly end
//
// Now everyone is dying
// And that's a shame
// Yet we must fight tonight again.

Dave

There is nothing left to do // There is nothing left to do
Ahh... // There's something in the air
And the day we came to realise // And the day we came to realise
Ahh... // It was too late.

9. Too Late (our reckless behaviour brought this)

Brad

Now it's time to find the answers delayed
We must go back to times when we failed
To see why we destroyed our faith
A flashback is the perfect way!!
Track Name: Travelling Backwards (intermission)
Having safely arrived at Balad, but with their ill-fated friend, Richie, dead by the hands of the wraiths, Alistair, one with the group, reminisces about the past and reflects on what had happened to humanity.
Track Name: The Day We Came to Realise
Alistair

I walk alone, but this time I need a soul
To come with me and take me along the road.

I see the hills and trees so vividly
We were so fortunate to have all this.

***

I walk alone, but people start to flock
Impatiently they scurry along the road.

I walk alone, we were so strong!
We couldn't see our glorious Earth was home.

Nuclear wars, famine and death
The inevitable pests we create
Military eulogies
Strategies to better kill our dreams.

There's not even time to save yourself
All your enemies become your friends.

All biochemical waste
Went to spawn a graver race of men;
Livid monsters who did find
Our flesh was not enough for their fangs.

And there's a time, and there's a place
To run away
There's a time to be yourself.

And there was kindness, and there was pain
But we escaped our daily misfortunes and prayed.

Amidst the pastures, the healing air
We didn't care
Though God had told us to treat them well.

I walked alone, now I see I was wrong
To close my eyes and let them on their own.

They tore down trees and trampled viciously
The wraiths convened to feast grounded fears!

Now we must come back and face
The state of our race;
No time for tomorrow, we shall hide our sorrow.

Facts and figures we'll create,
We'll bring them to their death;
In need of solution, and in dire straits!!
Track Name: A Way Out (intermission)
There is one who knows a way to defeat the wraiths, an unexpected, odd-looking citizen: Simon the Scientist.
Track Name: Dire Need of Solution
Simon the Scientist

Never thought this on my own
And never saw them moving all alone.

Wraiths which fly and come and go
Have never seen me running for my soul.

Atrocious monsters, winged drones
They cannot fail to find your weakest spot.

Their molecules and atoms grow,
But there's a way to bring the victory home.

We must fly to Witches' Pond,
The island which I used to call my own.

On the way a serious threat
But the reward is worthy of our pain.

A glowing nest of silver birds
Awaits us with the answers which we crave.

Get ready and prepare the jet,
We must be leaving while it's day.

Overrun, looking for trouble
If we don't grow strong
There's no tomorrow.

Hard to kill, unlike the mortals
Wraiths are unconscious
Following orders.

My assistant is quite fierce
She has a flair for sensing all the beasts.

Daughter of the former king,
She knows just what it is that makes 'em tick.

Let's meet her and be on our way
The path is long and full of vicious rains.

The monsters will discover us
And try to bring us down at last!

Overrun, looking for trouble
If we don't grow strong
There's no tomorrow.

Hard to kill, unlike the mortals
Wraiths are unconscious
Following orders.

Wield your blades, cry from your lungs now
"We will not falter, we will be honoured"!

Understand the game is over,
Die fighting for love, love and emotion.

Never thought this on my own
The night is looming over our hopes.

There's my workplace and results
Of years of research with a single goal.

Now as we speak they're coming close
The back door will lead you straight to the port.

The jet is fully loaded, go!
My life is but a speck of gold!

Si ... mon ... says!!

Overrun, but there is hope left
Driving so fast, they fled like a speed race.

If they fail, that is our disgrace
Sever our bonds they will and break defense.

Outnumbered, ever so bold
They battled their foes like
There's no tomorrow.

Hard to kill, unlike the mortals,
Wraiths are unconscious, following orders.
Track Name: Dialogue in Angst (intermission)
With only a little time to exchange pleasantries between Greg and the King's daughter, they're still followed by the wraiths as they make their way back to Balad to spread the word and get ready for the last battle.
Track Name: Flight Over Water
Greg

She looked at me across the room
Protected by her silk cocoon and I
Closed my eyes

She made a sound I can’t retrace
And vanished into thin air in disguise
I never sighed.

Oh, can we fly over water
If I can’t try to love her?

She threw some things right from her hand
And then pretended I was just a clown
In no man’s land.

Game me but a sly pretext
and worried about all the things she had
to say out loud.

She looked at me across the room
Inspired by her silver spoon and crown;
What a sight.

Never said what I had done
Or was I still clinging to some hope;
Same old joke.

Oh, can we fly over water?
Oh, can we fight and be over?
Oh, can we fly over water?
Then, let’s go fly over water…

She looked at me across the room
Protected by her silk cocoon and I
Closed my eyes

She made a sound I can’t retrace
And vanished into thin air in disguise
I never sighed…
Track Name: Steadfast (intermission)
Humans plan to crawl out of their caves and regain the fresh air which once belonged to them. It's time to fight fire with fire.
Track Name: Last Song
With the enemy gone now
Let me sing you a song!
Everyone will be singing along
Even though they will get it wrong.

All your friends are dead now
They've been gone for a while
But with the silver lining in sight
We sit down and rest for some time.

With no respite, we came back to life
And problems still rewind
And all my friends will be there again

Once we get Paradise
We'll be together and
The imagination will be free again.

After all this time
Problems still rewind
And all your friends will be there again

We can't turn back the time
But we can stay awhile
And this last song will set you free again

Wraiths are capable beasts, but
We did break them apart
Our world sees a glimmering light
Of hope and a joyful sound

Coming closer in battle
Raised our spirits to fight
Guns a-blazing we played the part
Of heroes, but we will be shunned.

We’re coming, we’re coming, we come, we fight
We want to save the day
We’re coming, we’re coming, we come, we fight
We want to see the light of day.

We’re coming, we’re coming, we come, we fight
We want to kill them there
We’re coming, we’re coming, we come, we fight
We want to breathe the fresh air

The last verse is around us
Our last words are of life
Projectiles and bullets do fly
But we embrace them divine

Away I, away them
Away I, away them

No one wants to save the day
No one cares if light is dark and...

Away I, away them
Away I, away them

Our planet’s saved again
Our souls are free to live again!
